COVERS 20 SQUARE FEET OR 20 NEST BOXES: Our compressed aspen excelsior expands up to 5 times its original size making it easy to store excelsior till your ready to use it. Expanded aspen excelsior covers approximately 20 square feet which would cover a 4' x 5' chicken coop or 20 regular size nesting boxes.

EASY TO GATHER EGGS: Aspen excelsior keeps eggs elevated and not buried like with pine shavings and straw, so eggs are easier to gather when laid on excelsior. You can also use a small amount of aspen excelsior on the bottom of your egg basket for an extra layer of protection.

COOP FLOOR COVER: Aspen excelsior can cover your chicken coop floor to create a fluffy barrier between chickens and the coop floor which can help keep your flock warmer in the winter. Aspen excelsior is also easier to remove and replace when needed compared to messy pine shavings and straw.
