Expanded aspen excelsior covers approximately 20 square feet which would cover a 4' x 5' chicken coop or 20 regular size nesting boxes.
EASY TO GATHER EGGS: Aspen excelsior keeps eggs elevated and not buried like with pine shavings and straw, so eggs are easier to gather when laid on excelsior. You can also use a small amount of aspen excelsior on the bottom of your egg basket for an extra layer of protection.

Directions: Excelsior will arrive in compressed squares to minimize space for shipping and storage. Simply pull excelsior fibers to release and expand fibers which can then be placed inside the nest box at your desired depth.
